I have an early 2009 20" 2.66GHz C2D iMac and I have noticed that almost every time I start my Mac that a dialog box appears and disappears so quickly that I can't tell what the problem is or what the dialog box is notifying me of.

Does anyone know how to check logs to see what might be causing this?

In case this helps, I recently (2 months ago) upgraded my 320 GB WD Caviar Blue HDD to a 3TB Seagate HDD and upgraded the RAM to 8GB using 2 PNY 4GB RAM modules.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Do you have facebook video chat installed? That was what did it for me lol, I ended up getting rid of it and the dialogs went away, too.

I don't. I actually try to limit the number of social apps I install and use. Or is that something that is installed through the website that I wouldn't normally find on my computer using spotlight?
