Apple 23" Cinema Display - No Longer Offered on Apple Site

I was configuring - for the heck of it - a 17 MBP (the last of the button / matte screen MBs) and when I scrolled down to displays, the options were for the 20" and 30"... where's the 23"? I asked (a bit sad and alarmed at the possible demise of another great Apple product). I then checked the store and it is no where to be found. Is this a recent development or did I just miss this awhile back?

I have found my current 23" ACD to be fantastic (and worth considering a second) and with the 24" glossy being made for the new MBs only and being, well glossy, I was surprised that there is no mid-size pro display in the Apple line-up at this point. Is there any word out there regarding a replacement?
 
Well spotted, it's not on the UK store either.

I suppose the 24" LED backlit has replaced it really. Shame it's glossy only, guess we can all see where this is heading...

The 23" was end-of-lifed in November. The 24" is meant to replace it.
