I believe he took his 24" led cinema display apart and that sticker is in the back panel inside the display.

November 28, 2008. They said it would be up to 10 business days when I ordered it (and it hasn't been that long yet). I'm just excited to get it.![]()

And where do you read it on the sticker? Am I blind?
Read the display model! Sheesh
Display model shows what kind of panel it is. duhhhh
OK, I'm obviously blind. I still can't see it.
you have to take your cinema display apart first and look inside.
I thought his photo was proof? I don't see it on his photo. The only thing is says is LG display, how does this or the link to the specs prove it's IPS? Sorry for the ignorance.
I see. Now hopefully they're using the same in all the displays. There's the infamous Dell 20 inch screen that comes sometimes with IPS, sometimes with VPN, for $350.
So what if its h-ips?
The other thread review said that the color was too good and wasn't representative of what an actual print out would be like, even after careful color calibration.
Which means this monitor is not meant for professionals anyway. So why put in an IPS panel if its just meant for the masses who just want to view photos and watch movies on their screen

Forgive my being unobservant, but where in that link does it say it's H-IPS? The funny thing is, I seem to remember seeing it at that link before, but now I can't find any mention of it.It has the panel model #, LM240WU6 and just google the LM240WU6 or check the link that alphaod has put to show that LM240WU6 is an H-IPS panel made by LG!

look at the model number (LM240WU6), and google LM240WU6 to see what type of display it is. Its an LG H-IPS panel (LM240WU6).
Google must be producing different results for you then. For me it shows up the original link that alphaod posted (http://lcd.eechain.com/datasheet_detail.asp?bg_key=E1&sk_nub=LM240WU6-SDA1) and all the rest are links to this and other forums that refer to alphaod's actual post. Its not a case of not believing, very pleased that someone unlocked the mystery. I just haven't seen any hard proof for myself yet. Could you possibly provide a link?
Google produces different results whether you are logged in or not. Funnily, this was actually being discussed on one of the recent TWiT podcasts.Google must be producing different results for you then.
