It's the same A9X chip renamed A10,may come with 2GB ram. Only tsmc will supply the A10 chip
Yeah tsmc chip iPhones have better battery life than Samsung ones

A sample size of 1 is not really that interesting.
The A9X is a triple core A9. The A10 is all new but seems like still 16nm.
No, the A8X was tri-core. The 9X went back to dual core.
An 18% improvement is basically the same as the A7 to A8. It was to be expected, but still welcome. The bigger improvement will come in the A11, unless Apple intentionally holds back again until the A12, since they can't give us both a big increase in performance AND a redesign at the same time

But the big Jump between 6 and 6s was that not because of the extra 1GB of ram?
As far as memory goes, yes. But the A9 was a big improvement over the A8, and the flash memory speeds were greatly improved as well.
