was wondering since most Apple devices that have a5 processors are struggling with iOS 9 you think there is any hope for them to get iOS 10 because the iPad 3 really struggles with iOS 9. Let me know if the iPad 2, iPad mini 1, iPod touch 5, will get iOS 10 let me know

I don't think so. And if not, that'll be the most iOS devices they've dropped at once.

They might.. with zero features, and obviously reduced performance. I wouldn't upgrade any of those devices to iOS 10.

I hope not. Focus on the UX, Apple. Take the PR hit.

No one will really be able to let anyone know anything until Apple actually does something in relation to it (or perhaps announces something).

That aside, seems like the recent discussion at http://forums.macrumors.com/threads/is-apple-ready-to-stop-supporting-the-a5-devices.1945246/ covers it all more or less.

Absolutely not. The A5 is already screaming for mercy with iOS 9.

    Doubt it.

But based on past devices being dumped for new iOS versions, it shouldn't have received iOS9. It was a real surprise that it did.

We'll know in a few months. Since there is such a large population of a5 devices they might be in for one more round.

After the flack that Apple has got with the iPhone 4s and iOS9, no way. My guess for iOS 10 will be for the iPad 4 and higher and for the iPhone 5 and higher .

iOS9 was the "one more round" for A5 devices.

If you have an A5 device it's time to upgrade anyway. A7 devices are fairly cheap these days and are so much faster and also house many other improvements too, most notably the displays.

A5 devices were assassinated by iOS9, so no.

No way in hell they're getting iOS 10. I don't even know if iPhone 5/iPad 4 are getting iOS 10, they might do a major 64-bit only release. Sorta doubt it but it seems like a distinct possibility.

I don't think so either. My iPad Mini has been struggling since iOS 8. Apps are still mainly OK, but I'm constantly having issues with Safari and the App Store and have to reopen them all the time.

Developers have been dropping support for it, particularly in games, for the last two years anyway.
