Good point. I assumed that DarkSky was using user reports to train a neural network - refining predictions based on various weather data used as inputs. It is possible they have trained the weights in the network to reach asymptotic performance already, so don't need to do this any more (which would be fine, assuming that conditions don't change - climate change might throw a wrench into this).
There is a “Report an Issue” at the bottom of the Weather app screen.

So many people here complaining about features not existing even though these features exist. It’s like everyone is so fast to complain, complain, complain and get their opinion seen by others instead of taking the time to explore the app.

Dark Sky is broken up in 1 hour segments. Weather app does the same.
??? If DarkSky predicts rain in the next hour, it gives you a breakdown of how much rain to expect almost minute-by-minute (at least where I am. Perhaps it varies with the temporal resolution of the weather source information for a given region?).

Dark Sky you can see rain percentage/sun percentage per hour for future days. Nothing like that in Apple Weather! :(
You can only see the day ahead from what I'm glancing at

Oh boy I am going to miss Dark Sky. I am struggling with Apple Weather. We are living on an island with a flat end and a mountainous end, a size of more than 400 square kilometres. The weather is considerable different around the island, there can be rain on one side and sun on the other, even between villages. There can be strong winds where the ferry lands, while the other side is calm. I can store every single village in Dark Sky, but Apple Weather stores the island name, and that's it. I can't add another location on the island. So frustrating.

That’s the thing. Takes some finding. Not really at a glance anymore.
Really? Takes no effort to find it. All you do is tap on the weather for any given day & swipe left or right to move through the days or tap on a specific day.

What’s incorrect? Maybe I should’ve said in the USA they get theirs from the weather channel. Obviously worldwide it’s different. Dark sky gives a different forecast so I’m not sure where that data comes from.
Apple does not solely use the weather channel as a data source. I believe multiple people have told you that. Apple’s weather data for the US comes from multiple sources including NOAA.

Unfortunately precipitation probability is not available in Apple’s Weather app yet. It’s something I & many others are missing.

Edit: According to my most recent post, it seems it is available but ONLY if precipitation is in the 10 day forecast.

I had to locate some incoming precipitation first to see what you were talking about b/c it’s been a while since I’ve seen rain lol. Anyway, here’s a comparison between Dark Sky & Apple’s Weather app.

Edit: Added a close up view of the breakdown which I did not known was its own view.

I believe you’re the only person who quoted me saying I was incorrect but it’s possible I missed a comment from someone else.

The link you posted is from 3 days ago so it looks like something has changed with how Apple does it. Before that it said data from weather channel right on the app or at least in my area it did.

My biggest issue other than the Apple weather app not being as accurate is that it doesn’t show something as basic as the chance of rain in the weekly forecast. That’s the main reason I check the weather. If they add that it would be good.

Are you sure? It does show exactly that (rain chance percentages) for me in the weekly (10 day) forecast.

This is a screen shot of an area that has rain in their forecast.

Not sure why you quoted me, I was agreeing with you. Yes, when you tap the "Report an Issue", it gives a quite detailed screen to report a variety of conditions.
I responded to the wrong person/post. I'm sorry. I tried to update it when I realized I made that mistake. You're just too quick!! :) And of course I cannot delete the post so again, sorry.

That is incorrect. Weather app does have such a feature. There is a “Report an Issue” at the bottom where you can report weather issues for your current location.
That’s to report an issue with the prediction accuracy of the weather. Not to alert everyone in the area that it started raining. Raining isn’t an issue unless it’s predicted to be sunny.
