Apple Adding H.264 Hardware Decoder Chip to Macs?

So, this could be a way for Apple to incorporate DVD ripping into iTunes...

Now that would be pretty awesome, although I definitely don't see them doing that.

If you think that h.264 is "bloated junk" then I seriously suggest that you don't have the slightest clue what you are talking about.

Hahaha. Yeah. I agree.

And even *if* H.264 is junk (it's definitely NOT), all the legitimate new media seems to be using it (iTunes/HD-DVD/Blu-ray/etc).
