The app may suck more, but at least the app icon has been simplified. Thank God!

Trying to say you aren't making an ad hominem argument by making one? Yeah, that totally works, and totally makes a compelling argument.
Apple people love using words like "ad hominem" in their arguments in order to try and feel superior. I can just picture you right now asking Siri what ad hominem means while writing on your new MBP and trying to find a use for that awesome new touchbar just after raising your Apple Watch in the air at Starbucks for everyone to see.

Typical...

Anyone know if a way to do this with reminders as well?

I had a spam notification sent through a couple of weeks ago and the trick of creating a new calendar moving it and deleting doesn't seem to apply for Reminders.

Really irritating, I've resorted to turning reminders off for now.

Same here this is annoying

So, just reaffirming what I brought up. Not that additional confirmation was needed.

Advertisers inapporpriately promoting this way is just beyond me.

First of all, this causes negative influence to the readers.
Secondly, their company can be easily traced and be reported/fined by following the link...

Why are they doing this?
I don't think these are "real" advertisements. The purpose is to discover if the account name exists and collect a "suckers" list.

When you delete the event, it marks it as declined, letting the spammer know they have found a valid email address.
That's why I think Apple should offer the ability to remove without notification.

Yes but you are missing the point. I followed the steps to report it as junk online, then it appeared as declined in my Calendar app. So then I deleted it. It didn't have the pop up this time saying that the sender would be notified.

Just tried it now, I'm thinking maybe Apple now fixed it? I didn't see it move the event into declined events. Otherwise I would've been really peeved that I just notified the spammers...

But where am I going to find good deals on Ray-bans now?

I confirm that I have not had any follow up spam notifications despite deleting the entry in Calendars on macOS after marking it as Spam via ICloud.com
