'Gift this App'? Shouldn't it be 'Give this App'?
"Gift" can also be used as a verb.

Let's see... This would harm health care, oil and defense related industries, which are significant for our economy. That would certainly bring in many negative votes. The only thing that keeps me coming back to MacRumors is the anticipation of one day seeing 128 positives and 73 negatives on a story titled "Steve Jobs cures cancer, brokers permanent peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians, and discovers a pollution-free alternative energy source that costs pennies per year."
Nice!
Now I can "gift" myself some apps from my wife's account with that gift card she still hasn't used up...![]()
Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7D11 Safari/528.16)
I've always wanted to do exactly this.
First person to follow me on Twitter and mention @JustinFreid with a link to a $.99 app gets it as a gift.
Well yea but Gift makes it sounds like a present, which better represents giving something to someone. Awesome idea Apple, now who wants to send me gifts? lol'Gift this App'? Shouldn't it be 'Give this App'?
Does anybody else think this maybe open for abuse? Devs could gift to a lot of people and watch their app go up the charts.
I was thinking that exact same thing. What prevents me from gifting my app to 1000 people on the same day to boost my app to the top 100 list?
It would only cost $300 since $700 whole be paid back to me. It seems like that's a low cost to push the app to the top 100 list.
I'm not sure this is a positive change unless gifts don't matter for app ranking.

Is it just me or is this feature now gone?
