Apple Adds 'Designed for iOS 7' Section to App Store

Don't worry, they already did. iBooks on mavericks has no page turning what so ever.

Kindle has a big update. Same icon, but reading and library UI updated for iOS7. Seems nice so far, but controls have moved around quite a bit.

Too bad Apple doesn't have more of their own apps on that list. They want all the other developers to have theirs ready for iOS 7 and Apple can't even get their own apps ready.

What are you talking about? iOS7 has all of apple's "default" apps redone

I downloaded the update for the Apple Store app and it has a new iOS 7 like icon but the App itself still has the old look.

do I need to update to iOS 7 to see the new look?

All of Apple's apps have already been upgraded to 64 bit, and presumably to the new UI as well. Why they don't show up there, I have no idea.

Can this be classified as a form of fragmentation? Is this type inevitable as an OS matures?

For now it may be.. but 3 years from now as the market will no longer support iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, and iPhone 4S it won't be much of a fragmentation.

I had no problem getting 7 for my iPhone 5 early on. But while my iPad downloaded the entire 900+ MB update, I can't get it to verify. I keep getting the message that it isn't available at this time and that I should try later. This has been happening for over an hour. It starts the verification process, and after a minute or two stops with that message.

I'm going to try again after I finish this post on that very iPad.

Apple completely re-did an entire OS and all its included native apps in 9 months. I think we can forgive them for not yet delivering redesigns for some of their other apps. Patience grasshopper.

Except the facebook app is painfully slow (at least on my iPhone 4) So they can pretty it up if they want, but I'm not using it until it is usable.

Almost one whole day using iOS7

I download iOS7 right after 11am Mountain Time. I had to turn for my lock function before I could get the download to work. I love to the new interface and my usage of the system really has not been a problem. So far I have had not problems.
