Well, yesterday really was another "The day the earth stood still" day

However todays news sounds GREAT. Chief Engineer from Northrup Grumman coming to Apple. Grumman rumoured to be involved in Black Govnmt Projects,
who knows, perhaps we will see Free Energy MBA's and iPhones with Anty Gravity
motors. Sounds cool to me:D

MBP 15" 2.66 MHz 320GB; iphone4 16 GB, (black)

Cooler than "Cool". Just wait. :apple:

As a couple of others have noted; maybe this will indicate a change in Apple's lackluster approach to enterprise needs.

Considering his background, it can't hurt.

Gee, great. Former CEO of one of the worst chunks of the corporate-military complex now wielding direct decision influence over our technology. It seems like Jobs has lost every last ounce of counterculture that drove him when he started Apple.

This significantly raises the probability of Apple technology making its way into defense and warfare.

If the 1984 commercial was already considered ironic, now it's doing the backstroke in a swimming pool of creamed irony.

Sweet!

If anyone is voting negative on this, it is just sour grapes.

I would call negative on it because CEO and former CEO on boards is how we got this massively over compenation pay to CEO going. They all have a hand in how eachother are paid.

I did my internship there. It was horrid. I currently work with a former manager from Northrop (when it was TRW) and he said getting out there was the best thing he ever did.
I know the feeling. I've worked at all of the top three defense contractors, and I've never seen employees threatening to call (or actually calling) the Department of Defense Fraud and Waste Hotline except at Northrop Grumman. Is this what we can expect from Apple in the future?
