Professor Plum?

They haven't removed the feature - simply relocated it! You can get the menu up when you tap on the 'now playing' screen

Holy crap you have a conservatory??!! Did Miss Scarlet also do it in the billiard room with the candlestick?

Having it control frontrow would be great. IMO frontrow needs an overhaul anyway to be more on par with appleTV.

absolutely, as much i love to use remote app on my iphone sometimes front row would be quite handy, but with no airport express support it's totally useless for me...

So this new update just totally messed up the ability to play a song off of a playlist...

Sortof pissing me off.

Anybody else having this problem?

iTeen, in my case that error only occurs when I have the AirTunes speakers selected on my computer when they are not available. Try selecting "Computer" as your speaker and then using Remote again. Worked fine for me.

Issues with Remote

Version 1 worked for me for the most part. Genius has not yet moved me.

Remote update has problems:
1. After update would quit so i deleted and reinstalled app.
2. Now it launches but triggers message "You are not authorized to play this content." When I click OK, the iTunes "Authorize Computer" dialog is displayed, in which I type my Password. However this returns the message below.
3. Bottom line: Remote is not functioning.

Issue carried over from version 1:
All Podcasts do not show up on the iPhone, specifically those with "m4b" extension. They all can be shared with networked Macs and are listed when using Front Row but are absent from iPhone list. However, they can be played directly off the iPhone if loaded.

Mac OS X 10.4.11

After restarting host computer, Remote 1.1 is now functional.

Can you scroll through your list of Apple TV programs and set it to record when you are away from your house?

Is it compatible with TiVo or a DVR? Can I program shows when I am away
from my house? (something that you can already do on the BlackBerry phones)
(there have already been several threads and news articles on the fact that BlackBerry phones can set your TiVo or DVR to record, remotely when you are away from your house. We need an App for this if this iPhone App cannot do this)

Record what? The AppleTV is not a DVR. You can go to a website and program your Tivo from an iPhone, but that has nothing to do with this app.
