When's the last time Apple did this?
Probably the same time I saw a commercial for the MBA. They don't really do that sort of stuff too often, but perhaps this signals a change in philosphy
I was kind of surprised when I started seeing iPad ads on sites like the Verge but this one really made me do a double take. I suppose it makes sense. I'm sure lots of school kids, especially in the US, frequent ESPN.
It's almost shocking/jarring to see websites with ads in them when I always have an adblock extension installed on my browsers. Ancient work computer is one example.
Apple is smart to make this move. It will benifit from the ad.
I was watching golf yesterday and the commentators had Surface tablets as props. The NFL is apparently going to be using Surface Pro's on the field. The guys in the studio also use them. So either Microsoft is spending big bucks for product placement or they're getting rid of unsold inventory.
Its more like MS and the NFL have entered an agreement to use MS products.
