Hey people, i was at the apple store today, i told a guy with "EXPERT" on his T-shirt how the iPhone works, cuz i couldn't get along with it very well..
the guy grabbed his 3G phone and guided me trough all features, when suddely I noticed that his phone was filled with themes! XD
I asked how did you change the background and stuff
he said; That is apples little secret, winking at me
LOL!
An EXPERT had his iphone jailbroken, lmao
just wanted to share this with you guys

Does a checkout representative at Wal*Mart represent the whole company's opinion on something? There's your answer.

OP? What is so funny that the post requires excessive use of LMAO LOL or the likes?

Maybe he's got a beta version of 3.0 nobody else in the world knows about.

Themes coming in the next firmware?? ;)

I walked into O2 to inquire about something, and then I overheard one of the staff telling someone interested in the iPhone about jailbreaking :p

No, Apple store employees have been known to jailbreak their iPhones and even recommend it. They aren't supposed to but how are you going to stop everyone?

yeah the really apple employes actually tell people to do it.

its the silly losers who dont know crap about the apple products and are just working there for the money who dont talk about it.

Personally, I don't think Apple gives too hoots about jailbreaking. It's unlocking which is their biggest concern. They have to show the carriers, that they are at least combating the unlockers.

Wouldn't Apple recommend Jailbreaking?

Customer: "I'd like to purchase an iPhone please"
Apple: "Okay, here you go, Oh yeah, you should Jailbreak ;) it adds a LOT more features"
Customer: "Will do"

Next day:

Customer: "I messed up my iPhone while Jailbreaking"
Apple: "To bad for you, buy another one"
Customer: "Fine, heres 500$"

I work at an Apple store, and I hate to admit that my iPhone is jailbroken. If I need to keep it on me at work, I turn the theme off, turn SBSettings off, turn the five icon dock back into the four, and people don't seem to notice.

My manager does not mind, either.

You cant mess up your iphone with a jailbreak. Just restore and youll fix anything that went wrong. Also, apple doesnt care about jailbreak its the unlock because it could take away from at&t with whom they have a deal with so they cant just sell phones that people could use with other carriers when they sign a contract with at&t

Yeah I know you can't mess it up. Apple even knows that you can't. But its just the regular non-tech-savvy people that would be asking about JailBreaking right? What if they unplug the device while its loading the FW? Then they mess it up. So yeah.

I was at a car dealership the other day and one of the EXPERTS (service techs) had an aftermarket exhaust and wheels on his car!!!

i got told not to do it but he still replaced my thing becuase i promised o wouldnt do it again *wink wink* haha

If you change the wheels on your car, the dealer will still service it.

If you Jailbreak your phone and ask an Apple store to fix some other issue, they'll hand it back and say "no, you jailbroke it."

How is that "the same?"

the warranty will not cover the wheels and the dealer may not be able to service the vehicle

I jailbroke my grandma and when I went to drop her off at the retirement home, they told me I voided my warranty. So I had to Ebay her. Dont jailbreak !!!
