In 2026, the autocorrection is still garbage as ****.

Real words are changed into different words because dumb ass Apple AI thinks it knows best when it doesn’t know ****.

And this happens even when I am using ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini who are using the same words as me, only for Apple AI to change it into something else when I try to write back to Claude, Gemini or ChatGPT with it’s garbage autocorrect.

Almost makes want to switch to Android, it is impossible for Google to have made a worse AI than Apple.

You can turn off autocorrect -- settings>general>keyboard> turn it off.

I do think we are owed an autocorrect that is at least good though. It is rare I type out a message and do not have to go back through it and correct some of the mad combinations iOS has decided to change certain words to. It has definitely gotten worse over the past couple of years on my devices too.

True - we are indeed owed an autocorrect that works. But I like to use alternate spellings like loooooong or when I'm upset with my iPhone it gets called an eyefoan - autocorrect gets in the way lol

What have Apple come back to you with from your feedback reports?

Perhaps like me, @Zest28 doesn't understand how to interpret the sounds that crickets make. 🤣 Seriously, though, I don't think Apple even promises to respond to feedback reports; they've never responded to any of mine.

On the topic of autocorrect and AI, I had autocorrect completely screw up a word in my ChatGPT prompt, and didn't realize it until I'd hit enter. Much to my surprise, ChatGPT figured out what I meant from context, and didn't even say anything about the obviously substituted wrong word. I guess it isn't the first time something like that has happened.
