Ok so i just wondered how many of you are planning on getting the Airpods that Apple announced at the keynote last month? personally i'm still undecided, it's all going to depend on how well they stay in my ears. The EarPods that came in the box with my iPhone 7 Plus are ok, however i don't think i could go running with them because they would fall out.

What do you guys think? are you put off by the price? will be getting them or do you already have wireless earphones that you are planning to stick with?

I'm definitely buying them and will then use the 2 week to see how well they stay in my ears, if they don't fall out then I think they will be perfect for me at university

I run a lot also.. especially on trails. And that's my main concern is that they will fall out. I would do the 14 day thing as well. If they don't work, the PW3 or Beats X

Even AirPods have 2 weeks return policy? Those returned will go back to factory or repacked and sold to someone else?

I forgot about the 14 day policy, i might do the same. Some of the early reviews seem mixed, a few people seem to like them while others are unsure.

I don't think they re-pack them and sell them on as new, their are laws against that. They may sell them as refurbished or something like that.

My question with the airpods is if they are sweat resistant. Being that I run and race, they have to be or it's a no-go

Doubt you will be able to run with them in your ears. They will fall off and get damaged.
[doublepost=1476369246][/doublepost]They do look like earings.

So far every  product I've bought has had a 2 week return policy, even watch bands etc that get marked just by use

I'll buy them even tho they're much more expensive for my budget. I haven't bought any headphones more than $50 and here's why:

1/. They're made by Apple which means they will have resell value. A year later if I sell it around $100, I think someone will want to buy them.
2/. They're completely wire free. This is the main reason since I already have a few pair of bluetooth headphones with wire between.
3/. The charging case. I don't think I'll ever listen to music more than 5 hours straight so it's very convenient to put it in a case for it to recharge. 15 mins and you have another 3 hours. Much better than manually plug in the charger cable.
4/. Easy pairing.
5/ They're comfortable. The design is similar to the regular earbuds and even though tho they don't have a lot of bass, they feel very comfortable as they don't go all the way in my ears.

The biggest downside is the control. I can't understand how they don't have double tap for next song, etc. Hopefully they will have a software update later or something....

Overall, even though they're expensive, if I use them a lot everyday and I feel my money worth it then it's ok.

Do you guys think Apple will announce a preorder/sale date or just start selling them without any fanfare? I cant recall an accessory having an announcement prior to sale.

My concern is the sound quality. Almost all reviews so far agree that AirPods do not better the sound quality of EarPods. Therefore, I'm rather waiting for Beats X. Better protected when running, fast charging, and with the same W1 chip.

I'm not too sure about this. Sure, they're made by Apple, but even stuff made by Apple that's been stuck in someone else's ear wouldn't be going anywhere near mine :D

I have to agree with this. Most Apple products do have good resale value but I very much doubt anyone would want buy used headphones especially at that price.

If you sell them cheap enough, people will buy them lol. Say you sell it for half the price around $80, that'd be a decent deal. Used headphones are sold on eBay etc. I wouldn't buy used headphones but there are people who will

Good question. I assume it will be part of the upcoming event on the 25th, however keep hoping sooner and check the website.

Same here for sound quality. Today I went for the Jaybirds x2 on sale for $79. The Airpods and Beats X have a mountain to climb in comparison to the x2 at that price. We'll see.

And there is more of a chance with losing an Airpod, I am real careful with my stuff but things can happen and since they aren't connected to each other, ....

And I rather take the X2s to the gym considering what I'd pay for the Airpods.

Woah! X2 for $79 is a great deal. Canada pays full price though, unfortunately.

I agree. Despite being careful, there are several scenarios where we can lose them. For instance, someone might bump into me during rush hours coming in and out of train - which is not that unusual for me - and the fallen AirPod might be kicked away (gasp!)

Not to mention, EarPods' sound quality is at the most average. If AirPods are EarPods without wires, that's not a very good value for money in terms of sound quality.

Long story short, it will depend on call quality while I'm wearing a winter hat. As well as whether or not I can adjust to the lack of physical controls.

I operate a forklift for a living, and make frequent calls to the front office via my Bluetooth. My supervisor already whines about my mic, so I'm hoping airpods are a step up.

The Beats X at its price point is expensive. Sure it'll sound better but it's nothing special. Aside from the easier pairing, there are tons of other bluetooth headphones with the same design.
