Apple Airport / Bluetooth Problem - Help Please

Hi, i've just bought a refurb macbook and everything is fine apart from the wireless..

The connection constantly drops even though all the other laptops on the network are fine and when trying to send something to the laptop via bluetooth it says connection failed straight away!

I get the impression these two problems are linked and that maybe the Aiport card is broken..?

Any suggestions on what you think the problem is...?
