Apple allowing "pre-signing" for fedex package

    I know there were a lot of questions on this before pre-order so I thought i'd post on it.

    Just got my apple pre order ship info and it includes a link to pre-sign for the package

    They did same thing last year for 3GS... I didn't want to risk missing the FedEx person so I filled it out and attached to my door! My luck I would be in the bathroom or shower and my phone would show up!! ;)

    This is standard procedure for any Apple product purchased online from the Apple Store.

    Thank the lord. I have never signed for anything via FedEx at this house, so I have no idea when he/she would run.

    Yup. Even if you order just a USB cable you need to sign. It's kind of a pain actually.

    So does this mean that I can go out and tell him to leave it somewhere? I don't really get it. Will he just leave it on the doorstep?

    hmmmmm how does pre signing work then?

    you cant do this in the uk, presumably incase it got stolen? as theres no proof of it arriving i guess?

    Guess a lot of people's neighbors are going to end up with a nice new i-4.
