I cannot believe the level of negativity in this thread. What the heck is wrong with you people?

"It's not airing at a time convenient to me, it will be too political, what a list of dinosaurs, the music industry is in shambles, this is entertainers trying to be relevant, when I saw the list of names I tuned out, how can we know that the money is going where it needs to..." and on and on and on it goes.

I get that being collectively locked inside is making many of us a little grumpy and a little nuts, but how the EFF privileged do you have to be to whine about this? People are getting sick, people are dying in unprecedented numbers. The economy is barely hanging on, our first responders are still short on much-needed PPE - and on top of that, they are most at risk and doing their work for all of us.

... and so some entertainers put together a virtual and free concert with the intent of raising money to support those very people and health care organizations - a hugely useful cause - and you bitch about someone possibly saying something political which you might be object to, you bitch about the musicians involved, you bitch about the time chosen to put this on and based on what... that plans for this free concert don't check all of YOUR boxes? / SMDH

Some of you should be ashamed. What a stark and frankly ugly display of privilege. Hopefully, you won't ever be in a situation where you require care from any of the people or organizations the event was put together to support.

... and I sincerely do hope that all of you stay safe, stay healthy, maintain social distancing - and that you wash your hands!

This is a hell of a good thing that is being done. I wish the organizers and the performers and the supporters (financial and otherwise) Godspeed.
