What if Apple is to implement Wii-like gaming into the iOS on "Apple TV" and use iDevices with sensors ( like the iPhone 4 with sensitive gyroscrope) as controllers. Simple sport games built in Apple TV, with your iPhone as a controller.
Tell me what you think

(shrugs) Casual gamers may play it, I'll stick to my consoles and play games with some actual depth to them.

I don't think Apple is going to want to get into that market. Then their main competition in that section is going to be Microsoft (XBOX), Sony (Playstation 3) and Nintendo (WII) which I don't think Apple stands any chance against. It would be a nice idea, but I don't see it actually working.

They already have amazing hand held gaming devices (iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad) but those devices are definitely not ready for the big leagues. Not yet anyways.

well, i prefer for apple to release a bluetooth gamepad compatible with iPad, and it would be great if apple released it, because all developers will support it.

but i do enjoy playing nova 2 with touch buttons and gyroscope though, sometimes it's easier to aim with gyroscope rather than mouse on the PC, and even better than the console's gamepad.

i heard that NOVA would be released on sony PSP phone (xperia). damn, it would be useless to play FPS game on a gamepad like that has no analog stick like the PS3 and XBOX 360.

just imagine a simple iOS game on Apple TV, connect the iPhone as controller through bluetooth or a receiver/transmitter plug in, then just put a special case for gripping on the phone. iOS Wii-like Sport games ftw. I wonder of if the processor in Apple TV can handle all this rendering

I was going to say.. The iPod Touch/iPhone would become one with the TV if there wasn't a grip case for this. It's a nice idea though. I'm sure down the road we will see this or at least something like it.
