Did you actually have any personal experience with this issue?

You keep writing the same grudgy things. I wonder what the deeper motivation for this is.
Yes, as do many others. Apple controls the support. You’ll notice they use the exact same voice, prompts, hold music, etc. Apple took their usual approach to phone support and it is backfiring on them, because banking is not tech. support.

You keep pretending like this isn’t happening. I wonder what the deeper motivation is.

Nonsense. I’ve never asserted it’s not happening.

I set up accounts for myself and two family members. From this experience I saw no concrete scripts. Our conversations never felt like they were being squeezed into a format or stilted in this way.

My impression is that there likely were scripts for consistency of message but the agents also departed from these as well.

I have no deeper motivation. I wrote about my experiences and my dissatisfaction regarding the 7 day delay I experienced for moving a couple thousand bucks that caused me concerns with paying my credit card bills.

What we have seen is that GS has improved their transfer out time down to 1/2 to 1 day which is acceptable and better than some other AcH transfer times we’ve seen from other FI’s.

Apple is most certainly involved in the payment. The amounts of money this deal involves makes these payments a rounding error, but you can be sure both GS and Apple have skin in the game.
I would expect Apple is making GS shoulder this expense as opposed to getting an Apple lawsuit for reputational and brand damage.

Should note that the 100$ posted to my account Friday* and I received the email Monday afternoon.

* I had no idea it was there until I received the email. Didn’t even see it first time I checked because I expected posting today. On second look I saw it listed as Friday.

Nonsense. You’ve repeatedly questioned my and others’ experiences. Now you admit that they use scripts, as per usual Apple support. I think I now know your deeper motivation….

I have? Repeatedly? Really? Just because you write this bot style rhetorical reflection nonsense doesn’t make it true.

I'm surprised some people are even already withdrawing from their savings accounts this early. Just let it sit and build up, occasionally make deposits.
Soon after Apple Savings account came about, Vanguard came about with a point savings-like product that’s currently open to one a selected number of people called CashPlus. It offers a higher APY than Apple Savings. I moved most of my Apple Savings to that Vanguard product.

Its a new toy from Apple. People will play with it for a while then get bored and move on.

$100 seems about right. There is NO excuse for withholding peoples money. Get your stuff together or get out of banking.

There should be no deposit, for any amount, that takes more than two days to clear. And there should never, EVER be a delay on withdrawals. Period.

I’ve not had a problem withdrawing money from the Apple Savings account because, to me, a SAVINGS account is for accumulating wealth, not spending it. Since day one of the Apple Savings account some people have deposited money (sometimes large amounts of money) only to turn around a couple of days later and withdraw it. Makes no sense, a savings account is not a checkbook or debit card. Many banks have restrictions on withdrawals from savings accounts. Some limit the number of withdrawals per month, some start charging a fee after that number has been exceeded. From reading posts in the Apple Discussion Forums it is clear that many people are clueless about finances, credit, creditworthiness, Federal banking laws, etc.

Accept that the problem is about withdrawing money, not depositing it.

GS is one of the worst banks/institution/finance place etc. I have ever had the horrible experience to deal with. Not just Apple part. No more money for them.

While I don't doubt that others had issues, I've moved $200,000 into (and out of, and back into, and out of again.....Trying to buy a house drama) my Apple Savings account without any problems. Granted the normal bank account the money came out of is the same place it went back into. All the transfers happened in 48 hours tops.
