With Samsung sucking up all the air in the Android space, this is a good move for HTC. Android fans love to talk about "choice," then they all buy Samsungs.

LOL, couldn't have put it better myself.

And UI wise, the iPhone is still much better, everytime I hold an android device I get an instant headache from all the clutter and the multiple home screens.

However, I think that competition is good, and I hope Apple will settle with Samsung as well.

There was a group of jurors both attorney groups agreed to allow hear the cases of both companies...after exhaustive study of the process, the components, the design philosophies etc. this jury came to a unanimous decision that Apple had been ripped off royally...sounds like sour grapes to me from the whiners. Stop acting like children.

The HTC/Apple agreement has been posted, with some parts redacted, as part of the Apple/Samsung litigation. So we finally know what HTC and Apple licensed from each other (it is a cross-license agreement).

Section 5.1 a) is especially telling in light of the discussion going on here. Apple has excluded all their design patents from this licensing agreement. So people saying "See Samsung ? You should license too!" will be sorry to hear that Samsung can't license the patents they are being accused of violating, since even HTC didn't get such a license.
