Apple and Iphone:Exchange/Refund Policy

Hi all!

Just want to let you know that Vodafone in Portugal is refusing to directly exchange or refund clients if they get a non-working iphone 3g out of the box, stating it's an Apple policy.

For a start, this clearly violates Portuguese consumer laws, and represents a clear downside for all that is about to buy an Iphone.

Can you confirm how's Apples Iphone exchange/refund policy in your countries?

This is clearly against certainly UK consumer laws...and I have a feeling EU ones too.

Apple store just exchange mine due to reception problem in the iphone 3G... in Los angeles CA
