What is with Apple's infatuation with Linkin Park?

During MWSF 2008, he selected them while demo-ing Apple TV. Now they are performing at apple stores?

Can anyone make the link? I can't.

oh boy...i hope this thread isn't going to turn out like the one on the front page.

Well, every linkin park song was to a certain degree recorded/edited on a Mac (Logic). Also, their DJ Joe Han (Mr.Hahn) uses PowerBooks/Macbook pros for all their loops during their live performances. That's the only connection I see. Though if Apple can partner up for U2 for U2 iPods and other stuff, I there's every reason why they can do the same with Linkin Park.

Uhhh...way to many hours by me spent watching Linkin Park stuff:D There are countless videos showing this...but her are a few off the top of my head. These videos show the making of their latest album (showing how the band members use their own rig at home).

MacBook Pro(s)/Powerbooks can be seen during their live performances as well. Here's pic of their performance at the Apple Store a couples days back (you can see 2 here) http://www.thedailyswarm.com/swarm/linkin-park-played-apple-soho-store/.

so now for some that aren't at the Apple store...

the very beginning of this video

and even dating back to the PowerBook days...
2 PB's can be seen at 25 sec in this video.

as I said earlier, these are just some examples. Search up any live performance really, and you'll see 'em.

The band is also shown going on MySpace etc. on MBPs during their free time on various episodes of LPTV (search up on youtube)

EDIT: Realized the video in the first (and probably most important) link i gave you doesn't work anymore. So here it is on youtube (3 parts, look for the other parts in "More From This User").
