Live Nation is just as bad as the major labels.

Exorbitant ticket prices keep people from going to the big shows and cause artists to cancel their tours because of Live Nation. I hope this flops.

The content isn't currently available in the UK iTunes Store. Is it US only?

It's not in NZ either, and does indeed appear to be US-only. I wish that Apple would get all the existing content available internationally before adding even more US-only features.

Sorry nkawtg72

but it's only US, of course it will be a negative comment. Also no HD as I see.

In the end of 2009 how can you sell Video without HD, The apple TV can be plug only on a flat screen.

I don't understand.

But having video concert on iTunes it's awsome. But need to be HD

I'll disagree. I don't really care if it is HD or SD. When given the choice I download the SD content because it is cheaper.

Choice would be nice, but IMO, not a reason to rate this negative. And neither is US only a reason to rate it negative. I am sure Apple would love to make it global, but they need to negotiate the rights in every country which I am sure takes time, so they go with their biggest market first.

I hope this hits the UK store.

Primarily for me, I'd give LiveNation the big F U as well, except I would love to hear some of the other acts from Donnin^H^H^H^H^H^HDownload Festival. If it hits the UK store, at the least that means that they'd have something from UK shows.

BL.

Yessss, this is what I want.

Would any of our US friends like to pass on names or content? Hopefully Apple get around to the colonies at some point and it would be nice to anticipate.

Chris

This will be really cool when you can buy your tickets and the posted video at the same time. It'll be really, really cool when it's free with your ticket purchase.

Live Nation, the creeps who are presently trying to buy ticketmaster in order to totally lock up all the venues and secure the high prices of tickets for generations to come.

The worst kind of sycophants imaginable. I would not put one extra penny in their pocket by purchasing one of these showa let alone go to one of their shows.

Live Nation

I think that this could be really interesting...i'm excited to see what content they will have available in the UK...

in the mean time i guess i will stick to Samsungmovies.com for there concerts and the odd good movie! :)

So can anyone comment on the quality and timeliness of these recordings?

Does the show get post-processed to make it sound acceptable or do they release it really quick to sell recordings on the day or a few days after the concert to maximise sales.

I don't think its possible to make quality recordings of concerts without a bit of post work to focus on the right channels, boost levels, remove distortion etc, but I'd like to hear if there's some examples (samples??) of where this has been done and how they did it.

So far the list is fairly small.

That is a very small list. Off the top of my head I can think of the following that did LiveNation tours, let alone played Donnington/Download Festival:

Heart.
Journey.
Cheap Trick.
Poison.
Def Leppard.
Korn.
Down.
Faith No More.
Steel Panther.
Anvil.
Whitesnake.
Rob Zombie.
Motorhead.
Dream Theater.
Tesla.
Dragonforce.

There's plenty more, but what they have is a very small list compared to the number of bands who toured under them and the shows they did.
