Those 16% are lucky?I wonder what the other 84% of CA students think, and what the other 49 states filled with students think.

Very nice gesture! Let's hope they fix iTunes download meanwhile to help the students without an expensive internet and so many others!
California is responsible for a great deal of the United States' economy, farming, and of course, cinema. You can drive for around 6 hours from Los Angeles toward San Francisco and see farm land.
Hopefully, this initiative will help students. As bad as California's schools are, they need to be improved, and this virus has given everyone a chance to improve, and to reconsider what school means.
You referred to distance learning, which means virtual classrooms, which means there will be a platform-independent solution. Not really a difficult concept to digest. If it is, let me help: works with desktops, laptops (including Chromebooks), and tablets (including iPads).
California has so many farms because of the weather. It’s cheaper to get water than to control weather over large areas of land.CA doesn't. 10% of the water supply is used by residents. Most of the rest goes to farms. IDK why a technically desert land has so many farms, plus none of them use efficient irrigation techniques. I'm never buying any assertion that we're lacking water and I need to take 5 minute showers if they aren't doing their part.
Great. YOU think its the wrong tool for the job. Forgive me if I don’t think you know what you’re talking about. No they should just not BUY the wrong tool for the job even if it’s subsidized to some unknown degree (also hope they subsidize those $20 lightning cables when the wee ones try and use their iPad and the cable breaks - and don’t lose that $$$ power adapter)
Forgive me if I don’t think you know what you’re talking about.
