I am looking forward to high-quality wireless streaming.

Codecs can be improved, but the bitrate is still the same with bluetooth (probably even reduced, if we consider how many bluetooth devices are available).

I don’t know how they could solve it, but they should.
Airplay?

Here are three "must have" features in the next generation Airpods Max

1. An improved Bluetooth codec (or alternative method of wireless transsmission) that allows wireless transmission of lossless CD quality audio to the headphones.

2. A USB-C jack for both charging and transmission of hi resolution digital audio (up to 192/24) to the headphones.

3. A headphone case worthy of the headphones' price tag.

I absolutely love my AirPods Max, the sound quality is really superb. The only thing that really annoys me is the case, I always feel like it's not fully protected when I put them on my bag and I'm afraid they can scratch.

But in terms of sound reliability it's the best pair of headsets you can buy.

I cringe when I see someone using them at the gym. As an AirPods Max owner, I know they are not comfortable for physical activity. It’s more of a flex than anything else.

I love mine, use them daily.

Using them with  TV for Atmos movies is just gravy. 🤤

I rarely seen anyone use them.

Publicly, I've only seen ppl in the airport, car dealer (service dept), and hospital. I've only seen maybe one or two people in the last year or so wearing them in public; it's usually AirPods (Pro) I see in public.

Privately, everyone I know who has them keeps them at home or takes them on trips.

I have seen the more frequently at my gym. But again I see other people wear headphones similar to APM.

Can't believe its already 2yrs...crazy how time flies. I really love mine, they're super comfortable and sound great. Love using them w/Apple TV and on airplanes.

Two years and they’re still heavy and ugly AF! Not to mention the lack of included extras (like a useful case and a 3.5mm cable).

As much as I hate Bose, their 700 headphones have more Apple-like design and build than the AirPods Max.

Curious why you hate Bose?

Had mine since the first day, still love it.

Sound quality and ANC was better than the Sony WH-1000XM3's I had before, and the bass way better than the Bose QC's I had before that.

Build quality is next level compared to the above plastic fantastic cans, they still look exactly the same as the day I bought them.

Only annoyance is I had to buy a set of spare ear cushions. I rotate them every month or two, because with working from home in summer, they get sweaty and smell, and need a good wash every now and then, if you are wearing the things for 4-6 hours a day.

I got my Max about $300 used ebay. They sound good but I can't wear them for more than 1 hour, they get uncomfortable, too heavy. Once I upgraded my Airpod Pros to the APP2 I'm finding l use the Max less and less. The APP2 are very good, comfortable to use, and can carry them easily anywhere. The APP2 connect better too, the Max are sluggish to connect sometime. I regularlry have to 'forget' them and re-pair... I do have the covers they make for the band, so my band has no wear.

Mine basically fell apart after ~20 months of heavy use, they are all faulty by design. Headband eventually loses 100% of its elasticity and becomes unwearable unless you like two metal bars crushing your scalp. Ear cushions start falling apart after washing them several times. The cushion fabric is only held on with a 0.00001mm thin ring of plastic pressed into the back of the cups, which eventually starts to fall off as the cheap glue dissolves over time.

Apple agreed to replace mine with a brand new set so can't complain too much. But they are definitely in need of a significant redesign, especially considering the price.

Hopefully Apple does not increase the price during the next refresh of the product.
