right, better deals are available year-round through channel partners. I don't know why Apple even pretends this is a deal.

And yet the Apple stores will be jammed packed with people all weekend who don’t know any better…

Will there be something when you buy an M5 MBP?

Also, can you us the card to discount the price of the machine you are buying?

BF deals rarely if ever include recent releases of products, thus no iPhone 17s, no iPad Pro, no M5 MBP. I’m actually a little shocked the series 11 AW and AirPods Pro 3 have gift card options.

Strange that the iPad Pro isn't included.

See paragraph above 👆🏻

Can it be used to AppleCare? I was thinking of buying the AirPods Pro 3 and using the gift card to pay for AppleCare on them after.

Once upon a time you could but since all AC+ is now subscription based (monthly or yearly), gift cards can’t be used. I think you can redeem the gift card to your Apple Account and use it to pay for monthly subscriptions like iCloud and AppleCare+ but I’m not 100% certain.

tvOS 26 is still supported on the iPhone 6's A8 chip, never mind the A15.
Sure but historically new Apple TV are the same price so might as well future proof by waiting a couple of months. Of course they also hold value relatively well so you could sell as soon as the new are announced and lose little.

It's may be explained by a high profit markup per device for Apple Watch. Including bands and things Apple probably make a killing on those little watches.

The entire gift card setup is such a disgrace for Apple.

Black Friday truly shows how bad Apple’s greed is.

“It's technology married with liberal arts married with the humanities that yields us the result that makes our hearts sing.”

No. It’s effing greed.

Unfortunately this makes me think that there won't be a new Apple TV unit for the Holiday Season.
In September it was already known that the new Apple TV would not be presented this year. Most Apple TVs were unveiled in September, except for the 3rd gen model which was unveiled in March 2012, the 4K 2nd gen on April 20 2021, and the last 4K 3rd gen model unveiled on October 18, 2022.

Imagine telling your customers that Black Friday deals don’t apply to the most up to date devices. Sure, I guess I’ll purchase an iPhone 16 instead to get that gift card instead of a discount on an iPhone 17 series phone.

Though a direct discount is always better, it is good to see gift cards with Macs and especially Mac mini. Unfortunately the offer is jot available in my country.

These are such a joke I would respect them more if they didn’t even try

Because if they did nothing at least they would be saying “hey, this is the value of our products, if you don’t like it try finding a better deal at a retail who’s willing to take a hit to their cut”
But by offering minute discounts IN THE FORM OF STORE CREDITS THEYRE just mocking you

“Oh no no, you’re getting a deal, see? :O”

Yep, you can pay regular prices and get a gift card, but cannot get a gift card and use your 10% off military discount. Which kinda just makes it pointless.

Apple is very Scrooge McDuck around the holidays..

Not true. Apple is offering a $50 gift card with the purchase of AirPods Pro 3. Assuming you need something else that costs $50 or more (including Apple Music or other services), what’s nice about this deal is that it reduces your sales tax so it’s a better deal than Amazon’s discount. You’re buying the AiPods for $199 and also buying a $50 gift card.

Ah, well

I understand it’s technically more expensive than other retailers, but I bought a 13” Mackbok Air from Apple this morning. They offered the most trade-in value for my iPad Air M2, which is why I went with them. And I wanted to use my Apple Card financing. I’ll probably pick up the AirPods Pro 3 with the $175 gift card.
