With an irrelevant and boring line-up like this, I don't feel bad about not being able to attend. Not even sprinkled with a dab of nuance. Perfect.

Inoffensive and bland, like chili made for patients recovering from surgery.

Thanks, Apple!

What do you expect? For free it's a great line up considering the price of gig tickets these days, especially in London. Most of these bands would charge £30+.

Yes, they should clearly not pick bands people listen to and, instead, pick ones people have never heard of. That's totally the way to get people to go to your show.

Right because no one goes to SXSW, Bonaroo, Coachella, Firefly, etc. You really should understand what true music festivals (well, the music part, heh) are about before you start posting facetious messages with rolly eyes. Most music festivals are about new and break out artists, not bland top 40 and has-beens.

Shouldn't this be a global event with a multitude of countries and venue types taking part all during the same period of time? Then globally link up big screens etc...

Ah the smell of music snobs in the morning.

Clearly I have been listening to "fake" music because it wasn't personally deemed as true by some poster on the internet.

so far this year, we've got a spec bump air, iMac with air parts, re-priced iPod touch, and crappy line up festival.

I'm sorry. I thought with your post being in english you'd understand my point. Should I rewrite my post in another language? You completely misread and tangled up what I said.

Let's review here:

You wrote, and I quote directly,:

In which I responded, and I quote directly,: (bolded for emphasis)

You made a point that Apple's music festival SHOULD feature bands people know because that's what brings them out. I merely pointed out that you don't really understand what music festivals are about because ones that do feature new artists sell out all over the world every year. I listed a few in the U.S. for illustration. It was not an attack your musical tastes. I don't even know how you got to that conclusion, but you must be a bit self-conscious about it to start lobbing ad-hominem attacks.

I responded that most music festivals, such as the one's I listed, featuring a mix of ALL KINDS of music, not just pop or has-beens, are very popular and well attended, even sold out. Now in my understanding of the word snob, one would not appreciate an event were multiple flavors of music are featured -- something for everyone.

But again, this all goes to my initial point that you don't have a clue what real music festivals are about -- music appreciation of many genres and introducing new artists to the public.

Can't wait till Tim Cook brags about this at the next keynote.

Hey if you're footing the bill for all these acts you have every right to brag about it! Remember it is a free concert for iTunes users and for iOS devices.

Great to see these cutting edge artists finally getting the recognition they deserve.

I couldnt care less about an itunes festival if I tried really, really hard.

I know some of you do. Just my opinion.

Why is suddenly everyone bitching about it being in London? Hasn't it been that way every year, since the beggining?

GIve Up

I give up, I've tried watching these things in the last 2 years and the stream almost NEVER works. Either it be technical difficulty on my side or Apples. End result is the same, nothing but frustration. I wish they would make all of these shows available for download for a REASONABLE amount of time. No featuring clips and a couple of the artists for about two weeks doesn't count.

Why does Robin Thicke get labeled as a creep for the "Blurred Lines" song and video while Pharrell gets a pass from most of the public? Oh that's right, he wrote that obnoxiously catchy song "Happy" that the kids seem to love.

Lackluster! Atleast for me!

Granted this might be an exciting line up for others, but I think this is the first year I'm NOT excited for it.

Huh? Are you trying to be sarcastic? Like that list disproves my point? I'm MORE disgusted that you put ****ing Gaga and Kanye in the same sentence as Radiohead, Floyd, the Stones, and Beatles. You must be deaf.

Not def, dummy. It was sarcasm at the losers complaining about the bands slated for Apple's iTunes fest lineup. Give me a break.

I saw Robert Plant last year. He's got a cracking band these days, and does some good twists on some old Zep songs. Not to be missed.
