Is this what Apple has become 🤷♂️

The big question is. Will it be the same as RC2🤔
Who you asking? Apple?Battery drain is not fixed?
Apple doesn't need to adress that on release notes but it may be fixed when it comes to general bug fixes that new updates brings. My iPhone 15 Pro battery sucks after iOS 18.1, hoping it improves afterwards.I don’t see any mention of fixing the battery drain problem, if anything like the iOS 17 rollout it will be the 18.5 release that fixes the problems.
I was always under the impression that unless there are further issues, RC is the same as the final release. The big question is. Will it be the same as RC2🤔

Sure RC1 was several days ago and 2 was just one build up so most likely addressed one issue or tweak. Was 48 hours enough to confirm RC2 is good to go?
Interesting, I really haven't had any battery drain on my 16 Plus. The battery drains faster when using AI but if anything, just normal use seems to be giving me better battery life on the 18.2 RC's.Battery drain is not fixed?
I pretty much will agree with that but in testing out the Visual Intelligence, that works very well and is going to be quite helpful. This is why I'm so irritated with "AI"
The vast majority of effort is going into that garbage, rather than fixing actual issues or adding useful features and tweaks folks have wanted for years
Apple used to basically shutdown for the holidays, nice changeDamn. This is a nice surprise coming so quickly on the heels of the last RC. 😃
I'm a little - but not completely - surprised 18.2 was out so early. But there is a likely logic to it. The 13 won't have AI so it's safe to send that out sooner, and probably will save on bandwidth for when the 15s and 16s get their large updates.I have an iPhone 13PM that prompted to install 18.2 at 7:30am MST this morning however, my iPhone 16PM still thinks 18.1.1 is the latest. Any way I can get my iPhone 16 to see the update or is this just a waiting game?
Thanks. That's kinda what I was thinking but it surprised me that my 13PM prompted me for it first thing this AM.I'm a little - but not completely - surprised 18.2 was out so early. So yes, it's a waiting game. I don't know about the time differences for MST but PST historically gets it at 10:00 a.m. and EST gets it at 1:00 p.m.
Probably just for RC 2 that came out Monday.Thanks. That's kinda what I was thinking but it surprised me that my 13PM prompted me for it first thing this AM.

Just give it a try if you're experiencing battery drain with your iPhone. I am, so I'm installing it ASAP.
I am on the version before the rc. I always turn off betas so I get the official release instead of the rc just in case any differences. I am getting massive battery drain with it on 16pm was not getting it on earlier versions. What phones are these being used? 16 PM is just fine…
Ready for this big time. Finally got around to taking the new hearing test feature earlier today…Apple way too cold 🥶🥶🥶
So it’s about 8pm out in Arab Emirates, wonda if they got 18.2 yet? Or 1pm OUR time….
