Rumor or not, here it comes. Did I not hear Google and Apple were mutually developing or had developed a shared standard for tracking these devices? I suspect predominant Android (and outdated at that) mobiles at the airport were unable to track anything let alone an Apple AirTag. Maybe not updated? Security conscious? - Egyptian mobiles there may have tracking shut off by choice or by precaution?
 
The novel part of this is the expiration / temporary nature of the designation, right? Because you can already select "Trust location."
Exactly. Add an expiration date for peace of mind that you won't forget to deactivate it.
