Same camera and A16 bionic chip as iPhone 14? I know a lot plenty of people who held out for this because of USB-C, but dang that’s underwhelming.
It's been a given that the A16 in the iPhone 14 Pro / Pro Max would trickle down to the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus, and that they wouldn't get the new A17 chip. We saw this with the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus getting the A15 processor from the 13 Pro / Pro Max.

Only the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will get the A17. Then next year, the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will get the A17 while the 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will get an A18

usb-c would be more awesome if it didn't had a high failure rate and would be more durable. EU should consider such before FORCING companies to do what stupid politicians think is good
FTR, I’m all in on USB-C.

The immediate problem is that it is almost impossible to know what speeds, protocols, etc. any random USB-C cable supports.

The long term problem is that, by legislating USB-C, we’ll never know what a hypothetical USB-D or USB-E standard could do.

I hope to get a little bit more information about transfer rates on Apple USB-C cables.
Their website says that the iPhone 15 model has the USB 2 spec with up to 480 Mb/s:

It doesn't say anything about the cable though.
