Exactly the same as the old one. What’s the battery life? Why didn’t they mention that?

just buy an incoming 3rd party $150+ case for itI love the battery life but with my life on the road this thing being thinner and lighter won't be terrible. Now I just have to make sure I don't bend it by over-packing (bending incoming in 3...2...1...)
MacBooks don't have OLED displays or touch screens, and Logic on iPad is amazing.Looking nice… but the key issue is iPad OS and the price. They need a samsung DeX like interface really bad… otherwise its just better going for MacBook.
The M4 is really nice…
But again, the software and price needs to be right 😀
They are discussing Apple pro apps for iPadOS. Likely optimized for the new M4. I keep thinking how we are stuck with soon iPadOS 17.5 limits, I wonder what iPadOS 18 will offer that reignites this marketplace with the M4 iPad Pro?
The thing is, I don't want a MacBook *and* an iPad. But I kinda need to have both, for different use cases. If you want a MacBook, then get a MacBook. There are lot of people who want/need an iPad because of things like Procreate. You can't draw on a MacBook. And I prefer GarageBand on iPad because of touch instruments. Also I prefer most apps to their web counterparts.
I'm not sure how you could reasonably combine the two iOS and MacOS without turning it into some kind of Frankenstein mess.
They are extremely power hungry, especially for high APL content like all white backgrounds. The power consumption can be 3X more with an all white display.Kinda disappointing that the new 11-inch iPad Pro has a bigger battery (~+9%) than the outgoing version, a much more efficient SoC and it still gets the same exact advertised battery life ("up to 10 hours of surfing the web on Wi-Fi or watching video"). Surely that OLED isn't that power-hungry?
macOs can run iPhone and iPad apps. Unfortunately Apple still wants to keep iPad as a large iPhone.Would this support both iPadOS apps and Mac applications?
They will soon 😀MacBooks don't have OLED displays or touch screens, and Logic on iPad is amazing.
Pronounced iPad Pyro? It is a fire device (to use Gen Z slang).iPad P(ai)ro.
I take a lot of drone footage for architects and edit on the iPad. I'm currently working off of external drives, which works, but it'll be nice to not have to do that anymore (not the only reason I upgraded). Not to mention a lot of music and photos; and apps are a lot bigger than they used to be, so it's nice to have some room to grow.I'm curious: what do you store on your iPad that you need 2 TB?
I doubt it, but the 11” is still produced by Samsung Display and their sub pixel structure was shown off in the keynote. 1000 nits full field white is insane for an OLED display that big!So is Tantum OLED the same as QD-OLED?
Yeah you can get carried away selecting all those options. It’s getting up there with the price for your examples, still not so many options you can be half that easily.Fully speced out iPad Pro 13" 2TB Wifi + Cellular and Nano-texture glass with Apple Pencil Pro and Magic Keyboard sits at $3077 without Apple Care and $3246 with Apple Care!!
Such a weird thing to complain about. I’d rather have them do market research on iPadOS and its obvious limitations. No black pro pencil… thats such a huge disappointment for many people.
Did they do market research?
