Everyone's freaking out about how expensive this device is. I don't think they're seeing the big picture.
This thing isn't just a phone, it's pretty much a portable computer. It runs Mac OS X, surfs the web, runs apps, has a touch screen.... It's way cheaper than a laptop and can do almost as much!
I think the price is not bad at all, considering.
Would love the phone, but not switching to Cingular for it.
I would've liked to have seen a camera on the phone, but you can't have everything I guess.
Please explain. Are you paying both companies? It says with a contract therefore you need to setup another contract, right? More money = bad.
There's no WiFi after all (oh, there's another feature for revision 2).
it has bad battery (only 5 hours????)
I thought it was interesting that Jobs played the Beatles and showed Sgt. Pepper on the iPhone screen. For a moment I thought he would bring Paul and Ringo out and announce the Beatles on iTunes... Interesting choice and maybe a clue of things to come?
Nope, none of the Canadians noticed.![]()
lol
That's all I'm doing is trying to find out the release date. Guess I'll have to wait for a Canadian newspaper to report on it or something.![]()
Anyone know if this is a modified version of Symbian(linux based) or one of those other linux os that are available on phones?
I think the phone looks great. My problem with it, however, is the flash drive. 4GB nor 8GB is enough to hold very many full-length movies and definitely not enough to hold an entire television series. That doesn't even include space for music and everything else. I think it's overpriced for the space provided.
Now, I'm still waiting for a real widescreen video iPod that is hard drive based.
