So it's basically exploit your generosity to get you hooked on IAP and then milk you for big $ after 7/12?

I'm not sure these kinds of apps should be part of a charitable cause given their questionable tactics and practices.

No, you are just cynical are not willing to see the good in anything. Or maybe you have no self control and would do exactly as you described. Me, I'm capable of saying no and teaching my children to do the same. We each donated our $4.99 to a good cause and got a little game bump in the process.

I'd be much more likely to buy the charity gadgets if
1) they were a color better than red.
2) Bono wasn't involved

For the longest time Apple was never involved with charities, but now that Tim Cook is the Gay ceo of Apple they only give money to GAY charities. That's just wrong.

Disappointed there is no new IAP for OS X GarageBand when there is one for iOS GarageBand.

Me too. My money is much better spent helping my own family.
not to pry or anything, but are members of your family living in sub-Saharan Africa with blood borne infectious disease?
Does the head of your government subscribe to wingnut conspiracy theories that said disease does not even exist, or worse that it is a secret CIA plot? Thus inhibiting or preventing much help that could get to people with the disease and doing nothing effective to stanch it's spread.

I believe in taking care of my family, but I also believe that along with our relative prosperity and comfort we have an obligation to help those that are less fortunate than ourselves.
Though I came up from a poor background and was once homeless for a period of time as well. So I suppose I have more empathy than some for people who are struggling.

Your comment, and the sad fact someone already up-voted it, has just convinced me to spend twice as much as I was planning to on this. Well done.

You lying ****.

Less fortunate? When is this world going to wake up & realise that you can NOT help these people!?

Shall we ignore the thousands of children which are raped, forced into marriage or even worse from the same place? It's like using a bucket of water on a forest fire - that bucket of water by the way will be the result of this PRODUCT RED push.

Africa had their chance but are now totally & 100% intent on self destruction with the rest of the world playing 'let's be the good guy to cover up our own corruption'.

Apple should not brag about channeling seventy five million over the course of more than eight years from customers to Product Red.

The (RED) map for the game Monument Valley is simply amazing!

If your a fan of MV make sure you get it.

How is that bragging? And in all honesty when a customer buys an app the money is not the customers anymore. The money is now Apples, and when they give a portion of it away (no matter how small or big) they are giving away THIER money not the customers.
