That would require a complete rebranding of the service. The value proposition of Apple Arcade is mostly parents knowing their kids won't be inundated with violent, in-app purchasing, addictive games. That describes most shooters unfortunately.a good FPS would be nice
This is not RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic, but RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic+. It is likely not the same release, but a different/newer one specifically for Apple Arcade. The + version might fix those issues you mention. There are other games for Apple Arcade with that + in the name which were updated for newer devices/systems too.Rollercoaster Tycoon Classic wasn't updated for 7 years already, it's totally broken on devices with notch and no home button. They have the opportunity to fix that but no, I have no clue how Apple can accept such lack of quality app to be advertised like that.
I feel like it has to. Apple wouldn't put an app on the arcade that hadn't been updated is several years, right? Goodness I hope they finally fixed the graphics on newer devices.I am wondering if RCT will be a bit more optimized for iOS devices. The version I purchased a few years ago in the App Store seems to not go well (UI, etc) within a touch/iOS environment.
Apple is not employing any of the addictive game mechanics. That is the entire purpose of Apple Arcade though. Because Apple does make money from other addictive games in the App Store. The entire point of arcade is to provide a safe and sane gaming alternative in a market filled with mind numbing, time sucking, addictive games.Apple Arcade is the thing I can easily ignore. Even my kids have no interest in it. Wonder what the trick Apple needs to do to make it a must-have.
