Wow, none of Square's games will be playable on the Apple Tv. I kind of have a feeling that Apple saw the popularity of Fantasian and wanted more rpg's so they hit Square up.
But making them iphone/ipad only is a terrible decision. Glad I'm not re-subbing.

I wish Apple Arcade offered an option to buy the games outright (maybe even with a subscriber discount). I don't like feeling locked into a subscription. The save data doesn't even transfer to app store versions of the games. It's the biggest thing that keeps me from getting too invested in Arcade.

I see some Vision Pro games list, but they looks meh. For those who have a Vision Pro and don’t know, you can play AAA games from your Mac and with the new Mac Screen Mirroring there is virtually 0 latency. I’ve been playing BioShock, Mad Max and just started Deus Ex on my Mac and streaming in wide and ultra-wide to my Vision. It’s a great experience.

I don’t know how Apple did it, but it’s much better performance than streaming PlayStation or even Xbox Cloud gaming. The graphics are crisp and again, no lag or latency.

I think either I’m just. Or that into games as I was or the quality of games just doesn’t interest me anymore.

Twice I got about halfway through FFIV and had my save data deleted (once by data corruption, once by being overwritten by a family member). I was so frustrated that I haven’t played it since, but this will finally eliminate my excuse for not beating it.

The pixel remaster would have been great, but I won’t complain about the 3DS version for free! It is a true classic with some killer music (which is even better in the pixel remaster).
I have played FF3 and 5 on my old iPad Mini, and that was 10 years ago.

Skipped FF4, but I guess this is the perfect opportunity to go back!!

It's hard to communicate just how valuable Apple Arcade is as a parent. Especially now that so many of their games seem targeted towards younger kids. Having hundreds of ad-free games with no in-app purchases is such a game changer. Nearly everything works completely offline too, so it's great for road trips. Say what you want about it, but in my opinion it's one of the best things Apple has ever done.
It's a solution to a problem they created.

I don't know if I'd go that far, but I love the idea of it and agree with you from a parent's perspective generally. Just wish they went after some better titles. This batch seems like a move in the right direction.
