I was thinking of subscribing to Apple Arcade as I love strategy games as settlers. These games are not that demanding graphicswise. Somehow the level of the Arcade graphics made me turn away. If there are enough customers I don't see why revenue couldn't be incentive to high graphics devs to join the party.
I've always been intrigued by Apple Arcade. I know that if I want "higher quality games" (in terms of graphics, game play, selection, and exclusives), Steam, Switch, a PS, or Xbox is really the way to go. However, I don't mind exploring what AA has to offer within that scope. I just never bothered b/c my iPod Touch 5 and iPad Air (1st gen from 2013) wouldn't support them (and even if it did, I'd question how well they would run on hardware that was 6 to 9 years old at that point).

I got a new 9th gen iPad which makes this possible now, but Apple also threw in 3 complimentary months of AA, so no point in not taking advantage of that. Even for $5 a month, it sounds much more delightful than all of the bs I had to put up with when I was playing freemium games (I played one for 3 years, and another for 8 months before I had to hard quit them, the system got that awful :( ). Don't know if I'll continue to subscribe after that trial is up, as time is the bigger bottleneck for me these days, but we'll see.
