My interviewer missed my skype interview. Has that happened to anyone?
I'm almost 100% sure I gave them the right contact info, but I hate how you cant even check on the events page.

Even if I did give them the wrong skype name, I should have gotten a call.

3/26 - Application submitted
4/1 - Questionnaire
4/4 - Email to schedule interview
4/5 - Interview via Facetime (I can answer any questions if needed)
4/8 (today) - HireRight email asking for background check.

And that's where I'm at! I'm hoping the background check means I got it, seeing as I haven't gotten a "thanks for playing..." email, but you never know.

Hey Turbo, have you gotten an update on your status? I also applied for AHA at UGA and have my interview scheduled for today. By the way...good luck! 🙂

Well, I thought it was for CPU only. I believe their classes are focused on one department. But...Perhaps they have more than one class for that date. Did they tell you it was for IOS?

Personally, I wouldn't turn it down if I got IOS (theoretically speaking). Since IOS is said to be a bit easier, it might be easier to move up to a team manager sooner if you are competitive. At least for me, working with any of the AHA teams would be a great opportunity, but I do not have an extensive tech background. Although, I will say that I am happy that I am starting in CPU. They say if you start in CPU, you can do almost any of the areas.

With that aside, unless they told you IOS, I would assume that you would be in CPU.

At the moment, I'm still waiting for the background check to complete! If you are at UGA, I could meet you or text you before your interview and give you some tips if you would like! Just PM me for my info. Good luck!

I already had my interview, actually - it was at 1 PM. I had it with a lady named Kristen, who was very friendly and often used the words 'very good' and 'awesome' after answering her questions. 🙂 How long did it take for you to get an email for a background check?

I actually think I had the same lady! I was interviewed on a friday, and I got my hire right email Monday around 1pm. So hopefully you should get yours sooner, seeing as you don't have the weekend to worry about. :]

Reading this forum, it peaked my interest to actually see what I applied for and what the job would be. I emailed my recruiter, and she just responded and said CPU. For the money I assume it was anyways (17/hr). Hopefully if I get the job I start on 5/20, just like everybody else 🙂
 
Hey everyone just a quick question

Im sure its been answered before but how long does it usually take for hireright to finish the background check ? Also my recruiter said that if i dont hear back from them within 5 days to feel free to email them. Its my 5th day since my last interview today, do you think i should email them today ?😕

Awesome! Hopefully I won't have to wait very long. :] If we both end up getting the job, maybe we'll end up in the same training class together!
 
Has anyone passed the background check and then not gotten an offer? Or are the only ones who don't get an offer call at that point the ones who don't pass the bgc?

It seems like I remember reading somewhere that it is possible to get the bgc, pass it, and not get an offer call. 🙁

I second that question! I've been scouring past posts, and as far as I see, no one has not gotten an offer after background check, but I may be wrong. I'm currently waiting on eggshells here for my background to clear. It's hard not to get excited...

If they tell you iOS... run, run away as fast as you can.
 
So I had the Skype interview today with the Hiring Manager. Now the waiting begins. Supposed to be CPU class on 5-20. Hoping and praying!😀

For those who got the POTS phone, what provider did you go with?

I tried AT&T but they said they don't service my area. And Time Warner is digital only. 🙁

Ugh, im anxiously awaiting eagerly for my link to schedule my third interview. Reading all of the post. It seems like theres a lot of people in front of me. But I want to talk to somebody thats in the same boat as me. 2nd interview was last friday April 5th. Haven't heard anything yet from that point. 😕

I've had TWC digital for the past 3 months ($20). Started with AT&T POTS, too expensive with all the taxes and surcharges (just like cell phones). The $50 reimbursement for phone and Internet wasn't covering it all. Now it does.

I do miss AT&T POTS because you're guaranteed a dial tone. Unlike with the cable providers. I couldn't work one day because of a cable outage (statewide).

I have Internet with AT&T because they rarely go down.

POTS is a real technical term lol: Stands for Plain Old Telephone System. As for the interview, I guess it would be considered the 3rd one but honestly I have kinda lost track. I know it was with a Hiring Manager. He asked me several pc related questions and did about 3 role plays. Last thing he said is I should hear something from the recruiter in about a week. Not sure if that's good or bad?
 
Sweet, just got my email from HireRight for the background check form (only a few hours after my interview). I guess things look a lot brighter for the possibility of getting a job offer now... 😎

The CPU queue isn't bad at all. It's not mind numbing at all. I get something different everyday. While most calls are things I can handle easily, that is a good thing, as it keeps my stats up and helps me be a standout on my team and in my queue. If you get CPU, you do need to have some technical knowledge, or your stats will be crap.

As far as opportunities, there seem to be quite a few. A few people from my team are cross training in iOS to be full time mentors on a rotation. I've had people rotate to account security, and I'll be training to be a team manager backfill. I've seen plenty of emails to try a rotation of some kind. I haven't seen too much movement to Tier 2, but at the beginning of my tenure, I saw about 25 people get hired to T2 for iOS. So the possibilities do exist.

I'd be happy to answer any questions that I can about the CPU queue.

Thanks for providing this info! Do you know if you can cross train or go to Tier 2 when part time? What do you do as a mentor vs manager? Is mentor an actually position where you get a raise? I noticed there is a screen sharing tool customers can download to allow advisors to see their screens but it notes that agents won't control. While this is much better than just going off what a customer describes it would also be beneficial to be able to control when you have to do command line fixes etc. Do you ever go beyond just monitoring? Thanks again!

Hey guys, just an update. Just got my offer call, and they low-balled me hard on salary. I had to decline, I make more doing infrequent freelance work part time than I would make doing this job. I got quoted a wage during my interview and they totally pulled back on it. Beware. I know Kelley people make $9-10 bucks an hour but for being a full fledged Apple employee at $12 is not very good... I was hoping for more of the $16-18 range that everyone says they get. Either I got screwed or folks on here are lying... really disgusted 😡
