I don't know maybe I've missed it but I've looked at the NAB 2005 site and it mentions people from other companies (besides Apple) coming in and teaching Final Cut Pro and what not but I don't see where it mentions Apple at all, Apple certified people maybe but doesn’t seem to be any Steve Jobs or anyone with Apple there. Either they don't list all the companies attending till the event or Apples not going to be there for the most part thus hinting Tiger might come out later maybe.

I know eWEEK is pretty reputable (from my POV) when it comes to saying April 1st is an announcement there's going to be one from Apple.

Don't worry about Apple's presence in April, I assure you they will have one (Including at NAB). This is not to say they are going to give a keynote at NAB or anything of the sort, because they won't. Just trust, wait, and see :)

I don't doubt that Apple would be at NAB but I would think they'd be at least listed on the page hell maybe mention something about the new production packages/tiger related stuff... unless they really want to keep it a secret.

Not surprising at all. How many decked-out G5s can you buy for the price of a single broadcast antenna with supporting electronics? How many licenses for Final Cut Pro HD can you buy for a single portable studio with satellite uplink? Even if each of Apple's products captured 100% of its market, the company would still be a very small player in the broadcast industry.

Apple will be likely updating most of their Pro apps.

I expect them to have another huge booth. I'm really curious about this new Pro Audio app that TS mentions. There have been rumors from more than a few people in the music industry about Apple coming out with a new Digital Audio Workstation. Yes they have Logic Express and Pro but word is they've been working on this app since before they acquired Emagic.

I'm excited for Final Cut Pro and Shake. These too apps should see some very nice updates. Motion will probably move to 1.5 or version 2.0. I wouldn't be suprised to see a new video app as well.

Tiger is going to be the foundation for these new application revisoins and we should see the integration between all the apps continue to improve. In a few years Apple will have one hell of a video workflow for prosumers and professionals.
