I have an apple battery case, and have done since its release. Points to note:
Yes it is lint city, but anything the case attracts seems to just wipe right off later on. Can't really explain how, but it attracts lint very well, but somehow also makes it easy to remove lint. I never find myself actively trying to remove lint, as it basically removes it itself over time.
It does become troublesome pulling it in and out of jeans pockets. The silicon just sticks to the material, making it especially difficult to pull it out AND put it back into your pocket if you wear jeans.
HOWEVER, the battery gains of the case far outweigh these issues, as the phone feels like it'll last forever with the case on. Not even my 6 Plus could touch this level of stamina.
To summarise, yes its a pain in the ass if you wear jeans, but the extra battery it gives, and the fact it has lightning built in is definitely worth the trouble. My Mophie case for my SE is great, but the fact it uses micro-usb instead of lightning is why I don't use it every day, as I have 2 lightning docks at home that basically go to waste when its on.
