I dont understand this comment. Apple was not the first company to get to 1.5 trillion.

You meant those in the US (I should say Apple forums) may be happy that Apple got there first, right?
The article literally says: "Apple Becomes First U.S. Company to Hit $1.5 Trillion in Market Value". And I then said "those in the US who may be happy that a US based company got there first".

There may be others, exclusive of investors, management, outside of Apple forums that may be happy. That's great for them but I wasn't discussing that universe.

First U.S. company to get there but NOT the first company. :D

I never said otherwise. Apple was the first publicly traded US company to hit 1.5T. If you just wanted to inform the MR posters that another non-US based company hit 1.5T before Apple (oil company?) sure.

I am really just pointing out your original statement is incorrect.

"And then there are those in the US who may be happy that a US based company got there first."

^ implies that Apple was the first company ever to get there, and they just happen to be a US company. This is factually false.

We could take a poll on whether the intent of the sentence is clear or not. :) But who was the first company in the world to hit 1.5T then?
