Hopefully they have a whole separate team to review watch apps because the last thing we need is iphone/ipad reviews getting any longer.

Updates are already around 10 days and new apps around 12 days? Ridiculous!!!

Apple now requires 5000 icons to be included in their app. Such a pita.

There is no 'Apple Watch App Store', and won't be for some time. All Apple Watch apps are 'bonus' features to a regular iPhone app. (i.e. for every Apple Watch app on your Watch springboard, you'll have an iPhone app on your iPhone springboard)

You apparently have yet to open the Apple Watch app?

Don't discredit what he's saying so fast..

It seems to me there will be two ways to get app watch apps:

o Download an App from the standard App Store that just happens to support Apple Watch. This method is available now.

o Download an App from the Apple Watch App Store located in the Apple Watch App itself. This method is not yet available and I think it will be used to download dedicated Watch apps. IOW: ones that don't have a companion iPhone app. No one really knows when well see this. Some think we may not till next year but I don't think it will take that long.

I could be wrong here.

There aren't "Watch Apps", separate from iPhone apps

From the Apple Watch Programming Guide

Apple Watch requires the presence of an iPhone to run third-party apps. To create a third-party app, you need two separate bundles: a WatchKit app (that runs on Apple Watch) and a WatchKit extension (that runs on the user’s iPhone). The WatchKit app contains only the storyboards and resource files associated with your app’s user interface. The WatchKit extension contains the code for managing the WatchKit app’s user interface and for responding to user interactions.

Basically, there's no "app" on the Watch, just a user interface. All of the code to tun the app actually runs on the iPhone. They go on to say, later in the same document, that WatchKit extensions are packaged "inside your iOS app". So, you need to have an app installed on your phone in order to have a WatchKit app on your watch. It seems likely that the "Watch App Store" is just an iOS app store that filters to only apps with Watch extensions.

I can't speak for other posters, but I don't care what you do with your money. I wouldn't buy one, though.

No you see that comment wasn't directed at people like you who say oh hey I have an opinion and so do you. I just really dislike how many posters seem to label anyone who wants one as a moron. Appreciate you actually respecting another persons opinion ##
