So let's see, it's the normal Jackson Pollock style paint splashes we know and love, just stretched vertica... oh I get it!

...
You guys remember the colorful squares contained in the logo of this years WWDC? Those represented the retina display.

I'm sure there's something in here that hints at that as well.

Well I think the hint is quite obvious:

The color bands seem to be stretched and blurred vertically, symbolizing the increase in vertical screen estate on the iPhone 5.

Oh wait… wrong thread.

Bright, rich color = brighter display with better color accuracy like that of the iPad 3? That'd be awesome! Deeper blacks, and whiter whites would be great! :D Always hated how "white" the black on the iPhone 4 looks.

Don't worry… Even the white bits are black on the iPhone 5!

Misquote that, overly-sensitive politically-correct fellow forum members!

It is better we get back to the main topic of deciphering what the banners mean and what they are hiding more than what they are revealing. :D

Hey

Am i the only one who noticed this??

I don't think that means colorful iPhones or something.

Look at it carefully;
They stretched the home screen of the iPhone.

Purple line = extended pic of iTunes App
Orange line = extended pic of Music App
Colorful lines on the left = extended pic of Game Center App

The next gen iPhone will be taller. 100%

Wonderful colors

You know, the world really doesn't have enough color. I'm glad Apple's doing this...and I wish I could be in the middle of all that.

I guess I just don't understand why they keep calling it the iPhone 5 when the 4S is the fifth iPhone.

I heard Tim Cook is gonna walk out with platform shoes to bring the event full circle.

Holy Grammer, batman.

4GS?? On the list of worst possible names for the next iPhone, 4GS would be dead last.

Its the les thrn reactive onscreen keyboard of the ipad i cant seem to type on without looking if i typed every letter correctly... Its annoying at times... Still love my ipad 3 though :D:p:apple: and really tell me why off all names that the 4gs is the least likely name for it... Do you think this phone is a leap that translate like the 3gs was to the 4? The only thing thats bigger is the screen... I hope apple will prove me wrong but still... Last year we also expected an 5... But think for an moment that 5 in the invite can mean anything... Just my 2 cents an my opinion

these are rainbow colours....don't you know the song?? :p
The banner is not a rainbow..its just random bright colours.

Isn't it typically colorful anyway? Like the paint splat one, to me it looks more like colorful brushed metal ipods, but are they still doing that and isn't this a (5) event? WOAH, what if that (5) is not iPhone 5, that could be named the new iPhone, but there are FIVE mo*******kin new iThings?

- iPhone
- iPod Nano
- iPod Mini
- iPod Touch
- Ah-k I'm missing one, iMac?

- or Mac Pro? Naaaah lol

Apple have already stated that a new Mac Pro is expected in 2013, so why you even put that...

Wow people are reading way too much in to a banner. When doesn't Apple use colorful banners at events?
