I need to upgrade my 13. I’m torn between getting a 16PM or a 17P. Since you had both would you say the camera is significantly better than the 16? Anything about the 17 worthy of choosing it over the 16?

Never had the 17 max but I’ve seen it in person and it’s a little tooth thick and heavy for my taste, 15 max is perfect weight-wise but has thermal issues and less battery life than 16 max and no 120 4k (I think). It also lacks camera control button that is a game changer for opening the camera app asap.

So between 15, 16 and 17 pro max i say def go for the lighter weight but sturdy and nice feeling 16.

If you meant 17 pro vs 16 max definitely 16 as the pro screens are just too small and battery life is even worse.

They could sell them for double with this 1 weird trick. Put OS 18 on them. But Apple won't do that, no, they'll keep pretending Anal Dye's Liquid Ass is a major success and everyone loves it.

Nice to have more iPhones in the refurbished store. I would however prefer to get the base 17 instead of the base 16 due to various improvements the 17 series has.

The updates to the front facing camera are great.

I got the deep blue colour, which I really like, but the silver is more versatile, re matching with cases.

If you’re going to upgrade, I’d always advise getting the current model.

No point in getting an outdated device.

Good luck 👍🏼.

The titanium phones just feel more premium than the aluminum ones. New ones feel like toys in comparison.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, i don't remember last time i use a phone without a case, so titanium, aluminum they all feel like the case they are in.

As an owner of a 13 Pro, I have no desire to upgrade to anything other than the 17 Pro solely on the basis of thermals.

From everything I've read, the 14, 15, and 16 lines still suffered from what I think is the biggest problem with my 13 Pro. Take it outside on a sunny day and watch the screen brightness steadily decrease until the screen becomes barely readable in sunlight as iOS attempts to prevent the phone from overheating.

It seems like Apple finally addressed that issue with the 17 Pro line.
I have to cover my 16PM when on passenger seat in the sun. Otherwise it overheats pretty quickly. Does the 17 have same issue?

Much as I despise thermal throttling, I love the stainless steel & now polished titanium materials for the frame.
Aluminum doesn’t stand a chance for use without a case.
This is a good option for someone who doesn’t like the compromises with the Air.

I’m still sticking with the air series, will avoid aluminum for as long as possible. Used my old 14 pro today and it’s a heavy brick, same weight as the new 17 pro.

17 pro series is much better with thermals due to aluminum.
Air and all older pro phones suffer from poor heat management due to stainless steel ( X to 14 ) & titanium ( 15 16)

I’m ok with overheating, not with dents.

Obviously I got my 17 Pro Max in November - so I haven't had to use it on a hot day but ... we've had a few mid 70s almost 80F days and in the sun the phone seems to keep brightness a lot longer than I remember my 15 Pro Max doing. We'll find out when summer hits later this year.

That said, I notice the phone's casing getting warmer than I remember my 15 Pro Max (due to the aluminum and heat shedding).

I have been using iphones from ebay and walmart, this time bought an ipad and airpods from Certifiedcircuits.com. Pricing is better... Don't miss buying new 🙂
