Apple Begins Shipping iPhone 4 to Customers

I just got an email saying anticipated delivery 6/23???

If Apple put 'do not release until the 24th' instructions on it, then they will not.

Yeah I get that, but on the other hand, this is something I've paid for and is therefore something I own. I'll bet if you press the issue, you could walk out of there with your IP4 a day ahead of time.

I understand Apple can "ask" FedEx / UPS to not release until 6/24, but it's still something I paid for. Also I'm impatient.

My girlfriend got her email saying that it has been shipped. I havnt gotten mine yet even though I ordered mine before hers.

I know that's how Apple has done things in the past, but doesn't it seem odd that they would say the 23rd when they could have just as easily said the 24th? I mean, it's not even in Fedex's system yet, so that "Delivers by Jun 23, 2010" isn't being pulled from Fedex's website... it's from Apple directly. Why would Apple program it to say the 23rd?

Got the email too and it says the 23rd. Apple has favored us.

I tried to order early but no luck. Came back later after eight in the evening and it went through using the Apple app. Stroke of luck there.

So come on down Fedex.

That doesn't mean anything. FedEx will hold it until the 24th.

I got my notice also, it says estimated delivery June 24 by 6:30 PM.

It is coming FEDEX, which makes me happy, and it appears it is coming from China as there several mentions of "International Contracts" mentioned on the FEDEX page.

With stories of purchases still being shot down it's nice to know that it has passed another "test".

Well, I checked the tracking # and Fed Ex's estimated delivery date is 6/24 Why Apple would send an email saying "delivers by june 23" is beyond me.

i was one of the later orders at about 8:30 pm on the 15, and i have my shipping tracking number already also.. so it is pure luck of the draw in what order they are being prepared for shipment.

i even have a pre sign for this package option with my tracking info which i think is insane

Just got notified that my order has shipped too. Looks like FedEx got the info at around 4:40pm today so Apple is definitely moving a lot of iPhones out right now.

I anticipate you'll track many of these to Louisville, KY and then see the status sit until the night of the 23rd at which point they'll ship out to their final destinations.
