Apple Black Friday?!

The day after Thanksgiving...busiest shopping day of the year in the US. It's called Black Friday because it's historically it's been the time when retailers begin to turn a profit for the year.

Stores have all sorts of huge sales (often with insanely-priced doorbuster deals on a few items to get people in the door) and open very early (many stores by 6 AM).

Thanks! Presumably it will only be the US Apple stores then.

Funny you should say that. I need to buy some air. Been putting it off. Seriously I'm a scuba diver and four of my tanks are empty and I'm using my last full tank tonight after work.
But no discounts on Friday.

it's not likely that i could use an education discount AND a black friday deal is it?

i've never owned a mac and my parents said they would buy me a MBP on Black Friday because i helped finish our basement, which saved us a lot of money cuz we didn't have to hired a contractor. im so excited 😀 😀

i do know that my work is going to offer special EPP discounts (usually 6% off) on Black Friday (so more than 6%), but I don't know what the discounts are yet and if would translate to edu discounts.

it's not likely they'll have discounts on macbook pros right? last year they only had discounts on the ibooks, not the powerbooks
