I am considering buying an Apple Black Leather loop band for my 42mm AW S0, so I would like to know how they hold up to daily use? Has anyone had issues with the leather, connectors or magnets over time?

I do not mind paying the Apple premium if the band is worth it.

I've got the original classic leather band and it's still going strong. All the parts work as new and the band still looks like new.

Is the leather on the classic the same as the leather on the loop?

@Gav2k Nope, he leather is not the same, period ! Just read the description to see the differences.

For the Loop: The Venezia leather for this band is handcrafted in Arzignano, Italy.

For the Classic Buckle: This traditional design is made from a calf leather that ages naturally over time to acquire a beautiful patina. FYI The Classic Buckle is already in Gen 3. Gen 1 was made at Ecco, the Netherlands, after that it became unclear which company is responsible. Read here https://superphen.co/2016/10/02/comparing-the-three-generations-of-apples-classic-buckle-watch-band/ for a nice comparison

For the Modern Buckle: A small French tannery established in 1803 produces the supple Granada leather for this elegant band.

I own a leather loop and have several CB's in Gen 3. I prefer the CB but that is just a matter of taste. Only downfall i that both types do not smell like leather;)

I you want to buy a CB, get the gen. 3 (latest) as it has some nice additional stitching.

PS is the Apple Leather loop band stil available in black ? Must be old stock as it currently is only in Stone and Midnight Blue. I have latter and ir is a nice band to use with both a SS AW and SB SS AW :)

I stand corrected. Having the original black and new brown the feel very much the same

The black leather loop is totally worth it. Had mine since day one of Apple Watch release and it still looks brand new, and I wear it just about every day!

Is there any (old) stock of the black Apple loop yet ?

I placed my order today for the Black Leather Loop and the Black Nylon for my Watch, and a Royal Blue nylon for my wife's 38 mm AW S0. I used the Best Buy 25% discount on Apple accessories, so the leather loop was $112.50 and the two nylon bands were $37.50. :)

They will be at my door in two days and I am looking forward to the upgrade from our original sport bands.
