Looks like Apple wants to make sure you have to pay them the extra $50 ($649 total) for an unlocked iPhone by blocking the Gevey sim unlock method in iOS 5...

According to MuscleNerd "it's surprising Apple closed Gevey interposer hole in b2 rather than waiting until final (maybe they were under pressure)"

Wanted to give those using this method the heads up.

Preserving your baseband from 4.3.3, keeps Gevey working. I tested it on iOS 5 beta 2, with preserved baseband, and it worked perfectly, so, I don't really care that I'll have to use a custom firmware from now on :)
