Apple Bluetooth Headset - Does it work with Ventrilo on Macs?

I'm still shocked that they finally got around to get ventrilo working on macs. I haven't tested it myself but I'm pretty sure that the Apple BT headset only pairs with BT phones.
If there is an option or app somewhere for macs that allows for 'pairing' of BT headsets in general with the Mac OS then I don't see why this shouldn't work. Are there apps that allow BT headsets to sync with the desktop OS?

I believe the way it works on most other headsets is that the device is paired with the computer. The mic on the headset then becomes a microphone you can choose in the sound section of system preferences. I think the speaker becomes an output too ... I'm not entirely sure. 😕
If that's the case, then going into Ventrilo and changing the hardware input mixer, and output device, should make it work.
But I really don't know for sure.
